Fortnite Command Center
A self-hosted Discord bot for Fortnite: Save the World.
Fortnite Command Center is a self-hosted TypeScript Discord bot for Fortnite: Save the World. It brings live public mission, alert, catalog and shop data into Discord, and every reply names its source and when it was retrieved. It is in development and unreleased.
Fortnite Command Center is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by Epic Games. Fortnite is a trademark of Epic Games, Inc.
Why it exists
Save the World players check missions, alerts, shops and crafting costs constantly, usually across several websites. The bot brings that into the Discord server where the squad already talks.
The problem
Community game data is spread across providers that fail, go stale or change shape. A useful bot has to say exactly where an answer came from, and say so when a source is down.
What was built
- Mission board: Missions and alerts with zone, reward and sort menus, paging, a reset countdown and a best-at-your-power-level ranking.
- Catalog browsers: Heroes, survivors and schematics with artwork, rarity and class filters, and item details.
- Crafting calculator: Real material costs per schematic, with quantities.
- Squad planner: An account-free survivor squad optimizer: personality matches, synergy and lead jobs, from survivors you enter.
- Shops, news and status: Weekly shop, item shop, news and Epic service status, read only.
- Cosmetics and islands: Battle Royale cosmetic search and a new-additions feed, plus public Creative island engagement metrics.
- Watches: Scheduled mission-alert scans that message you when something you watch appears.
- Account linking: Epic identity linking through the operator's own Epic Account Services application.
- Operations: Diagnostics with provider status, latency, rate limits, scheduled jobs and backups.
- Named sources: PennyDB for missions, OliTracker for heroes, survivors and schematics, Fortnite-API for cosmetics, and Epic's public Ecosystem API and status page for islands and service health.
Still in development
- Private Save the World account features (inventory, expeditions, Collection Book, llamas) are deliberately not built: Epic does not license those game-service profiles to third-party apps.
- Discord delivery is verified per deployment, at runtime, not in the release build.
- Player lookup depends on an upstream service that was failing during verification.
